About PhotoVoice Collection
The PhotoVoice Collection showcases the work of photographers trained through PhotoVoice's participatory photography projects with socially excluded, marginalised or misrepresented individuals and communities. By making their images produced during and after the courses available through this site and those of our partners, PhotoVoice seeks to give access to exciting new talent and alternative perspectives on familiar and unexpected subjects.
50% of all income from sales of images goes to the photographer or an appropriate charity or organisation where this is not possible, and 50% goes towards the administration and expansion of the Collection.
Some projects showcased on this site contain photographs that cannot be purchased due to restrictions on their uses. These photographs will display without an 'add to cart' option. To inquire about using these photographs email matt@photovoice.org and quote the filenames. The main gallery features over 500 images all available for purchase directly through this website.
The PhotoVoice collection archive was made possible through the generous support of the Kraszna-Krausz Foundation.
PhotoVoice’s Vision is for a world in which no one is denied the opportunity to speak out and be heard.
PhotoVoice’s Mission is to build skills within disadvantaged and marginalised communities using innovative participatory photography and digital storytelling methods so that they have the opportunity to represent themselves and create tools for advocacy and communications to achieve positive social change.
Working in partnerships with other charities, NGOs and community organisations PhotoVoice designs and delivers tailor-made participatory photography, digital storytelling and self-advocacy projects for socially excluded groups. Our pioneering approach brings together the arts, media, development and social change agendas to work with hard-to-reach groups on projects that give voice, build skills, provide platforms for advocacy and work towards sustainable change.
